A Gurkha's Perspective on Bahunism

(Courtesy: Anonymous Gurkha)

Listen Nepali Dajyus and Bhais,

I refer these lines to Bahunist act and attitude calling Gurkhas as Mercenaries because they can't see peace and prosperity in their neighbor hoods. They are born to be destructive, not constructive.

Before pointing your finger to a person or group, get your acts right first. I believe you guys have problems in following areas:

1. "Janai" - is the main force of evil which always drags you people into negative thinking. "Get rid of it"

2. "Tuppi" - always makes them feel that they are from defferent plannet. "Get rid of it"

3. "Bad Language" - Tan, Timi, Tapain, Hajur, Raja saheb, Babu saheb, etc. divides people at the first sight. "Divide and Rule" is the mantra - "Get rid of it"

4. "Women and Cow" - you people treat a cow (an animal) as a God but women (a human being) as second class citizen - "Get it right"

5. "History" - you people do not have a single history running a firm/company to it's best. You need a lot of guts to run a country. You were Pandits and Bhanses during Ranas and Shahas rule (it led you to Chakaribad). You became rakamis and lekhandas after 2007BS (it led you to corruption and cheating). You people entered politics in 2046BS (which led you to dirty games and crooking). All you have done till this date is to full fill your individual interest, nothing else. "Think of team work specially in the case of Nepal and get rid of your bad habits"

6. "One God" - every relegion has only one God to prey or lean on to when one is down but you have kept thousands of God. You know why? it confuses a simple mind. "Get it right" These are just the tips of an iceberge in Bahunism. There are thousans of evil acts in your system. "Get rid of it before it is too late.

You people are not meant to rule the country by yourself in the name of democracy without participation of other ethnic groups. Let us not forget the case of PAGADI wallah (Heavy Truck Driver) way back, when he raped a Nepalese girl somewhere in Muglin right after the highway was built.

We Gurkhas had played a big roll to built this nation. We will be continuing our legacy to our last breath to protect this nation from internal and external enemies. There is no doubt. We are politically, socially and economically aware.

Gurkhas of today, do not kill people to gain a piece of lands but they fight against those who carries out evil acts in the society. Think twice before you let your evil thinking go out of your mind. Jai Gurkhas

What was the case of the "Pagadi wallah"? What happened?

Anonymous said...

I was wondering the same thing, what's the mystery behind the "pagadi wallah?"

Also, I read the posting to which this Anonymouse Gurkha is responding.

Sad, but he seems to have completely missed the point in that artilcle. Again, sadly, this doesn't speak much for the stereotypical Gurkha intellect.

Anonymous said...

whatever is said, is 100% true. these god damn bahunists and their bahun baad ways are the root cause for the feudal Nepal. They should be removed from power once and for all.

Anonymous said...

Well said!! We Gurkhas (present and past), support this views all the way!

Anonymous said...

Gurkha king has the same perspective as the article but he is hung, dried and quatered by Bhauns and their myraids of customs.

"Pagadi Wallah" - We didn't have many Nepali drivers who could drive Trucks and Buses those days. Even Nepali transport enterpreneurs use to hire these people from India. On the other side of coin, you know! the biz along the highways - Bhojanalayas, Bhatis, Bash (one night stand) and etc, etc. This poor guy eventualy ended up in one of these spots that particular night and did the evil thing. So, the news next day spred like wild fire and the whole Pagadi wallahs were wiped out of the country once and for all within a week. From that day onwards you hardly see them in Nepal.

This refer to the 10:02 PM sathi - we Gurkhas are not ment to talk more and work less. We are tought to work hard and talk less. The nation had enough with these bunch of chaterboxes (bahuns). If you can't find a solution when it is so badly needed for this nation then what is the point of claiming themself as leaders, intelectuals, litterate, educated what else!.

Wise thing to do right now is to stick to the principle "diamond cuts diamond" "iron cuts iron" and "Bahun cuts Bahun".

Anonymous said...

This is for the 10:24 am mitra, who i think is also the author of the article...

I finally understand the pagadi walla... thank you.

And we, the warriors serving our own country, are also like you brothers in the Gurkhas. We also do not know how to talk, we only know how to do.

This is why we are today, abandoned by the bahuns who sent us to war with our own people. And these bahuns are back in power and we soldiers are the victims.

Such is life in the military my Gurkha brother... we too are now smarter than we were before. We will sit and watch the "diamond" cut the "diamond" and we will do nothing.

Well said,

once the bahuns are marginalised in the power, 99.999% of this country's problem will be solved.

ganapati said...

All there bahuns again appointed as Vice chancellor in three universities. I see nothing but bahuns everywhere in deciding authority. More than 70% CDOs are bahuns, more than 60% of secretaries are bahun. All top leaders are bahun in UML,Congress and now uprising to Maobadi.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous - it's not the bahuns that need to be marginalied, it is the BAHUNISTS.

Also, it is not the chhetris who need to be marginalized, it is the ROYALISTS.

Also, it is not the communists who need to be removed, it is the MAOISTS.

Anonymous said...

ganapati, I agree with you. it's the Bahuns who have created a system (they like to call it democracy) for their own sake.

But as I said to anonymous, that is fine if the bahuns who are in positions are not Bahunists. If they are Bahunists, then they have no place in the new nepal.

No question.

Foolow up of 4:09PM sathi. Let them appoint University Chancellor, CDO's and Secretaries. Let them even appoint Drivers and Peopns (nepotism), they will do it anyway. Appointed Drivers and Peons play a vital roll in Nepal when it comes to bribing (corruption). But for how long!!!!!!!.

Thanks media, at least we are being able to know what is going on around us at least.

Politics has become their (bahuns) culture. Let them do what they want to do with it. Mr Prachanda and Dr. Baburam are there to take care of it. For rest of the world, these two may be bad boys but for people of Nepal they are the best political leaders ever produced in this soil in 57 years.

Look at the reaction of PM (GP Koirala) when Mr. Prasai (PM's samdi) was caught and brought in public by YCL. The next day, Ramchandra Paudel came up and said "Kanun hatma lina paindain", "Girija Babu bahek arule yo desh chalaunu sakdaina". Is he trying to scare off Jana Jatis and Madhesis? Has he worked out aging Girijas days in power? What about Dooms, Chhetris, Ranas and Shahas? culture less people of Nepal. They have been so badly monopolised in terms of culture that they have no choice of return unless they change their religion like in India.

Why Madav Nepal and his entourage have to go to India to seek political advise if they are socielist/communist? Can't they go to China, Russia or any other communist countries? What about Fidel Catro? There is no logic in this visit, is there?. Aren't they trying to fool us again? Dirty tricks!!!.

This is time to sit back and watch every move they make. But at the mean time get your pens and guns ready.

1:50 pm Sathi - this is where people like us fit right into the stereotype iditot that Bahuns and Chhetris put us (even Chhetris are idiots, bahuns are only the chhatus).

Do you not see what is happening with Pushpa and Baburm inside the Maoists? You think they are the greatest leaders Nepal has seen because the YCL kidnapped Prasai?

What do you think to know that after Prachanda publicly supported the YCL, he and Baburam went to PM quarter to beg Girija not to go after the YCL because if they do, then Prachanda and Baburam and Maoist leadreship will be wiped out.

I understand your passion and like you, I am also tempted to believe what these bahuns tell the world through media and their bahunist networks.

But I am not a fool. I see things much more clearly and critically. And armed with this knowlege, I can tell you for sure you are wrong - Baburam and Pushpa are just another group of Bahuns surrounded by our dumb jananjait brothers and sisters who are being exploited for the Bahuns to come to power.

Anonymous said...

This refer to 4.01AM sathi that I'm neither trying to make you feel bad nor am ready to accept any big words (upadesh) with falls promises and empty dreams from so called elite groups(leaders) of Nepal at this particular time.

YCL & Mr. Prasai - I'm not excited with YCL's action against Mr. Prasai whatsoever. YCL is carrying out a hell of lot clean up works in ground level in our sociely these days. But the point I'm trying to make is YCL have at least made these two groups of Bahun to put their head together and look back down, haven't they?. One can fool a guy once but these people have been fooling inocent Nepalese people many time.

The most important work Mr. Pushpakamal and Dr. Baburam had done is, they went to Rukum/Rolpa to quench their political thurst and brought those bihind the screen people to Kathmandu and educated them on what their elected leaders do in the capital. Hence, Ganeshman Pun like young energetic, straight forward, down to earth people are born. There are many in line.

Perhaps you are not aware of this -every political leaders use to have their own private army (gangters). They were termed as , Mundres, Jyapules, Gunda, Dadas, Dons etcs. They were placed in every streets (tols) and monitor everyday life of general public , terorise them and raise funds in the name of democracy. For the most powerful leaders, policemen use to do the donkey work for them. These evil acts are eradicated at least for now.

Instead of preaching people, this is the time to act my friend. The more time we give them the more dirty tricks they create.

Anonymous said...

12:14 pm sathi - I am in agreement with you completely. We are on the exact wave now.

I do not believe what these elite leaders are saying - including the Bahunists in the Maoist leaders - they are dealing with Girja and MKN and other bahuns, using our brother and sisters in the YCL. This is the truth.

Look at the YCL... I see some leaders with bahun names but the ordinary karya kartas seem mostly from Janajati and Dalit community.

Again, this is the reality at ground level.

I am aware of the political leadrs and their gangsters. I have fought for UML, for RPP and have captured booths. I know how this game works and this game was directed by Bahuists, with penny payment for those who did the works... the Gurungs, the Tamangs, the Magers, the Rais, the Limbus and the Manages. Isn't this true?

Who is at more fault? Our stupid people for taking money or the elite Bahuns for giving money? We have to think about this also.

It is time to act, but act smart, not stupid. This is what I think.

Also, let's move our disucssion to this posting on Sitaram. I read it tonight and it makes some strong points. I don't agree with all, but the bahuns working behind the scenes, I agree totally!

This refers to 1:17PM sathi. It is not that I'm talking about Gurkha King, England Queen, Japanese Empire, Badshahajs, Rajas, etc, etc. It is the way of thinking and way of treating other human beings, simply to say habit and attitude.

Look in Terai belt now, all Karmacharis are being chased out. A VDC secretary was killed few days back and I fear that this trend will continue untill every pahadi (bahuns) are wiped out, for what?.

Being a Gurkha our fore fathers sacrificed their today for their tomorrow (Gurkhas of today). Which tought us to behave nice and wise.

Days of "Pen is stronger then sword" has gone. Days are come for "Gun and Pen have the equil power".

Perhaps you are from Bahun origin, it may pinch you, hurt you but truth is truth and it is bitter.

And also, note that I'm not saying Bahuns are not Nepalese but just trying to put across what I've been seeing through my naked eyes for last 40 years. Learn to live harmoniously along with other Nepalese, my dear.

If you want to pick up fight go to other country then you will feel to love your soil and your fellow country man.

Anonymous said...

To the Another Gurkhas of 9:11PM - If you are a real Gurkha? and understand us, listen my dear friend.

After World War II Gurkhas were never tought to attack/kill another human race. They were tought to protect own self, hold the ground and balance "gun and pen". Which in return will bring peace and harmony.

And, they have proven it. Look todays Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Borneo, Cyprus, Falk Land and Hong Kong. Who know! they will bring peace in Afghanistan too!!!!!!!!!! are you aware Gurkhas are going to be deployed there soon?.

Your response/words/"pen" doesn't sound you are a Gurkha. Even if you are, think twice to pen down my friend. We are concerned with our people, nation and human race not with individual people like you.

Lastly, bahuns have not rediculed us they are doing what they can do best for their living, it is people like you who do not have a an idea where you stand in this complexe sociaty.

Again "Pen" only doesn't work these days. If believe in "Pen" then think of "Gun" too before splashing out your words of dictionary.

Anonymous said...

Let me tell you my friend, if you are still proud of your legacy of being cheap labor and evey cheaper cannon fodder for the British, then so be it.

The new breed of Gurkhas fortuntely, do not take pride in being deployed to places like Afghanistan because we know we are being sent there because we are expendable.

The life of a British solider is more dear to the British than the life of a Gurkha. This is why have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Yes, now please go pick your brain some more and come back with a nonse response to this truth. This time, please try and be accruate and try not to ramble all over the place because you are embarassing all the Gurkhas.

Anonymous said...

This refer to my another Gurkhas friend. If you feel you are expendable and cheaper then British shoulder what is the point of joining the Gurkhas in first place? It doesn't make sense to me.

Younger genration Gurkhas, they know what they are doing and why they are there for. You don't have to preach them. In terms of eqaul treatment, they are more clever then their seniors. Refer my last posting, "Gun and Pen" and our fore fathers "todays".

Yes, of course, a pack of whisky by my side, triger friendly and trying to scratch truths/facts of Gurkhas of yesterdays, todays and tomorrow after my retirement, I openly say I'm a Gurkha and am proud to be in the Gurkha Brigade. A leart to be a finest souldier and also a good citizen of mother land Nepal.

But with your kind of attitude, what I can see is you have taken advantage of your father (a Gurkha)to go to a best school and joined the wrong herd without having any knowledge of "Gurkhas".

I doubt you are not even a Gurkha or linked with the Gurkha legacy. Sorry mate! truth is truth you can't errase it.

Practice your disgusting "dohori" with some where else.

I am the generation your old geizer Gurkha! Haha. This is exactly where you and I defer.

I don't know what you like to pretend as the reason why you joined the Gurkhas but as a mercenary, I joined for the money, for economic reasons. That's it. And please stop with your horse shit about glory and fame and this and that..... all that came after the money and you know it.

So, come join me Mr. Trigger Happy Gurkha, come join the rest of your legendary unit as half of us fight for our British Lords in Afghanistan and the rest of us fight with Sandline in Iraq.

Take your pick. The money is better for private work and stop fooling yourslef that there is any reason greater. If you are so high on glory, why didn't you serve your own country?

Don't bull shit on the web Mr. Gurkha. The younger generation knows what we are doing and we don't pretend we aer doing it for any other reason.

Cheers, Mate.

Anonymous said...

To another Gurkha - You are a self centred big head cunning idiot with only one thing in mind. Don't pretend to be a Gurkha mate! You can give your best to manipulate and soak blood from animals not from Gurkhas.

Sorry, good try and see you some other time.

Anonymous said...

Sorry "mate" - I didn't mean to offend your trigger happy (yet softie) sentiments.

I know the truth hurts but you must be a 30+ Gurkha who believes that you are something more than a mercenrarie.

I am a 20+ Gurkha and I know exactly for what reason I sweat day in and day out and let me tell you old fool, it's not pride or glory or any of that bull shit you try to feed us. My reason is simple. I'm in it for the money.

So go to your corner now and cry because the truth really hurts, but the truth always comes out.

"Cheers" Mate.

Anonymous said...

By the way "mate", "cunning" and "idiot" are opposite words. Just goes to show how truly confused you are? Have you been on the firing range lately without ear plugs? Perhaps you're in artillery and have been practicing? Did a frag grenade explode close to your head and now you can't think straight?

That's what I thought. Go back to your corner and cry like a sissy again.

Who's the idiot now "mate?"

Anonymous said...

I think it pinched you right! A day will come in your life to look back and recall your memories. Money is not everything my friend, there are many other beautiful things in life as well.

Don't count on age, brain and ones ability, these things are boundless.

The other thing is we are way out of the track from the main issue. If you are 20+? a Gurkha? then you must be from non martial race.

Anonymous said...

To Another Gurkha.

First of all, you are not a Gurkha at all. Secondly, even if you are, you must be joined as clelk or Pandit.

Sorry mate, don't pretend to be some one as you Bahuns always do. Old habits die hard! we accept that but Madeshis will not my friend.

Beware! you are not even Pahadis?????????????????

Good try!

Anonymous said...

To another Gurkha,

If you are not Gurkha and belong to a martial race then what ?????????????? Pandit/Bahun!

"If you can't win them join them" is that what you want to say? No way mate! Laugh as much as you like and use your Chanakya vocabs. Your time is running out.

Even Madesh basi Nepalese have realised your Monkey biz. Change your attitude and mentality before it's too late.

To start with, why don't you take your Janai out and give it to Bagmati or Bishnu Mati! Can you do that for the sake of Nepalese people?

Next Mantra will follow soon.

Chapter II - History of Bahuns in short.

As far as history of Nepal is concerned it goes back to Prithiwi Narayan Shaha, correct me if I'm wrong. Let's keep religion, faith and caste aside for a while.

Pujares and Bhanses - While Prithiwi Naran Shaha began his quest building of a new nation, all Bahuns choose to become Pujares and Bhanses when this nation needed courage.

Rakamis, Lekhandas and Wakils - When Nepal was recognised to the rest of the world as the most peaceful and beautiful country in the world, all Bahuns choose to become Rakamis, Lekhandas and Wakils while love and peace was flowrishing.

Netas and Karmacharis - Now the rest of the world began to go Hi-Tech, all Bahuns choose to become Netas and Karmachari because they don't want Nepal and Nepalese people to go Hi-Tech and be ruled by other races.

Unfortunately, due to colour and physical structure Chhetri's choose to follow Bahuns at third stage but they are in limbo now.

It is still fresh in my mind when I was a young boy. A Bahun Neta came to our area and blamed Ranas and Shahas so badly for misusing national properties in a gathering but when I came to Kathmandu for my further study I noticed the same Bahun Neta bowing his head to the king and his family members every time he encounters them. I am so surprised!

It is the time to act, make decisions and answer every single question raised by the people of Nepal for the last 18 years.

Can these Pujares, Bhanses, Rakamis, Lekhandas, Wakils, Netaj and Karmacharij can solve our problems?

what the fuck! i don't understand what the author trying to say here... i am a gurkha currently serving in the British Army but of a chetri decent. where do i stand then? You are saying only mongolian decent people are gurkhas or what?

don't get me wrong, i don;t like nepalese politicians either but i don't think it is wise to slag other castes just because you are brain washed. the author should look deep into his territory(what i mean is within the gurkha community)and analyse how deep is the bahunism as you call it or otherwise 'bhaibandhu' pakshyapaat, jaatibaad within the brigade? no society is immune to these factors. no matter where you go, there will exist these impartiality in some forms or kind. you need get out of imaginary realm of yours and get real. stop generalizing a particular caste, but criticize the ones making mess of our country.

start educating your tribe and help them to get on to the political ladder so that you will have Nepal the way you want it(more mongolians in the parliament). stop moaning and do something about it.

And a response to BAHUNBAADJINDABAAD, you are fucking writing off ur arse ha? we didn't join the british army becoz we were thick. we joined it becoz we were good enough. we are making our country proud and contributing more than ever for the nepalese economy. what do you do for living? what's ur contribution to the country?
don;t forget nepalese economy is relying ever more on remittance. if you do have a slightest of knowledge of economy of the modern world, working abroad doesn't make you a traitor or a slave or a mercenary. you become a exportable workforce of the country. unlike you piece of shit, a burden to the economy. please feel free to slag me off to ur ability, it ain't fuss me a little.

peace, jai Nepal!
