In light of the evidence caught on video, readers are encouraged to review the chronology of events captured in the postings below.
The question that every Nepali must ask themselves is who we should hold accountable for the callous manner in which the UNMIN (United Nations Mission in Nepal) handled the arms (and armies) verification process?
As was the case in East Timor, Ian Martin parachuted in and out of Nepal. But those who will bear the consequences of Martin’s (and the UN’s) willingness to play the role of a (most) “useful idiot,” remain in-country.
If the United Nations as an institution fails to hold its personnel accountable, then Nepalis need to hold Ban Ki Moon and the UN hierarchy accountable for the UN’s complete failure in executing its mandate in Nepal.

UN and it's operational body in this matter UNMIN should most definitely be held accountable. We cant afford for such organizations to f'uugh up in issue that play a pivotal role in sustaining peace and building the road for a functioning democracy.
their work on this matter has always been in question, the ground work on the matter was done in haste. pressure and without a proper verifying mechanism. Such malpractice should be put in light and the people be held accountable, so that such fugh upz do not happen again.
It was a well know fact, that the Maoist never really got into the peace process and main stream politics to do something productive for Nepal, instead it was for them to openly preach their propaganda, enforce the policies that favor their school of thought and amass wealth for the second wave, which has been proven by the video.
Can someone please email this post to Ban Ki Moon and copy Ian Martin? Karen Landgren should also be copied so she understands what a mess of a mission Martin left her to pick up after.
Holding the UN accountable - is this some sick joke? More likey to get the Pope to convert to Calvanism!
Ian Martin should be hanged and crucified on the grounds that he Intentionally misled the world community. I will not accept the excuse that he was fooled.
He ain't no preacher but a simple Bhaun conning like his clan do in villages- Jajimani.
Ian Martin's in town. I hope the Nepali media goes to town on him.
But that's wishful thinking... given so many journalists and their close ones benefit from UNMIN funds.
